Rookie driver, Rhonnie Vesco received the Utah Salt Flat Racing club's "Fast Lady" trophy at the 2008 annual awards banquet in Wendover. She says racing is "in her blood" and she is eager to continue the Vesco Family's Racing Legacy. Her family is very proud of her driving debut on the Salt at the World of Speed event in September at which she drove the 51 year old historic "Little Giant" streamliner to a speed of 233 mph. Thanks to USFRA for a great event and a magnificent trophy!
Rhonnie was again honored to receive the USFRA's "Fast Lady" trophy for her record setting one way speed of 314.418 mph at the 2011 awards banquet. After completing her licensing runs at the 25th Annual World of Speed event, Rhonnie commanded the ever so sleek Team Vesco #444 streamliner powered by the Al Sanderson 304 c.i. Small Block Chevy to the fastest speed record set at the meet with a 310.981 mph average. This speed propelled Rhonnie into the prestigious 300 mph Chapter of the 200 mph Club.
