It takes a dedicated team, a fast car AND a great driver!

Team Vesco arrived mid-day on Sunday and promptly passed the inspection by Speed Week officials. "Little Giant 444" was ready to run with the Duttweiler 370" Chevy V-8 on gasoline. Veteran driver and 300 mph Club member, Dave Spangler, was eager to pilot
444 in the attempt to break the existing record held by Hedirch Motorsports at 323.126 mph.

Inspection
Rick Vesco and the Turbinator
The World's Fastest Wheel-driven vehicle @ 470 mph, Team Vesco's Turbinator returned to the salt for show & tell. Team Vesco is working on plans to fulfill the late Don Vesco's dream of turning 500 mph on the Bonneville Salt Flats with the Turbinator. Friends and fans came by to wish us well and admire this legendary car.

After making several modifications and adjustments throughout the week, Team Vesco was optimistic and ready to make a qualifying run on Saturday. "Little Giant" did not disappoint. The 323.7 mph run qualified Team Vesco to make a record run on Sunday.

Impound verification

Team Vesco was able to achieve their goal this meet. However, we believe a greater speed is attainable with "Little Giant."
Next month at World of Speed Team Vesco will change gearing, run fuel and license new drivers. Stay tuned...
